 
As a Member of the College Board and Chair of the Education Committee, Milton Marks has worked steadily to improve management, enhance student success, and create a climate of tolerance and open discourse. His leadership has made City College a more vibrant, accessible, and accountable institution of higher learning.
During Milton’s tenure on the Board, the college has taken great strides to modernize its facilities. Today, we enjoy new buildings on the Ocean and Mission Campuses with plans for the construction of a new Chinatown campus underway.
Milton will continue to work to improve City College by advocating for reforms to:
- Adopt a comprehensive Sustainability Plan and implement ”green jobs” training
- Expand Healthcare coverage for the City College family
- Close the Achievement Gap so that no student falls behind
- Increase opportunities for students to get involved in Community Outreach
- Conduct a thorough Chancellor Search
